JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE: Instructional Coach PRIMARY FUNCTION: To support teachers in developing and implementing an instructional program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student. QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, or Reading or Mathematics, or Administration or other content that directly supports instructional leadership. REPORTS TO: Building Principal/Directors of Instruction PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Oversee instructional planning and assessment at assigned school. 2. Attend grade level meetings and facilitate vertical content alignment and instructional focus between grade levels. 3. Be prompt and accurate when providing necessary data from data sources. 4. Facilitate and monitor student progress and maintain administrative paperwork for follow up as needed. 5. Actively participate with the school leadership and school support framework.
6. Assist and facilitate teachers on the analysis of a wide variety of data pertaining to the student demographics and achievement. 7. Be trained and prepared to provide technical assistance in the administration of state assessments. 8. Assist teachers in implementing best practices and evidence based strategies/interventions meeting the needs of struggling students, managing instructional technology, and supporting the implementation of HQIM. 9. Be prepared to support the principal in the implementation of the school day through supervising student activities and providing coverage under the principal’s direction for special activities. 10. Be prepared to assist the Directors of Instruction with division wide activities as needed.

11. Work cooperatively with the total school staff. 12. Be prompt and accurate with all data, reports and records. 13. Be proficient in a variety of computer applications. 14. Other duties as assigned by the Principal and/or Director of Instruction.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Eleven month teacher contract, exempted FLSA status. Salary will be established annually by the School Board. EVALUATION: Performance on this job will be evaluated in accordance with School Board Policy and administrative regulations and evaluation of personnel. |
